At Stadsjochies, every season has its own charm, but the winter months have something special. When the days get shorter and the cold sets in, something magical happens in the greenhouse. The greenery stays alive, the scents change subtly, and the light falls softer inside. The greenhouse becomes a place of peace, warmth, and wonder.
Every season brings its own magic. Spring is fresh and full of promise, summer is exuberant and lively, autumn is warm and earthy, and winter is subdued, atmospheric and almost fairy-tale-like. It is precisely this variety that makes Stadsjochies so special. The atmosphere changes, the flavours change with it, the experience evolves... but one thing always remains the same: our love for nature and people.
Christmas decorations from our own country
What makes Christmas at Stadsjochies extra special is that we also work as much as possible with what our own garden provides us with during this period. For example, we made our Christmas wreaths from eucalyptus from our own garden. Carefully harvested, hand-tied and then gently dried.
The beauty of eucalyptus is that it not only smells wonderful, but also dries beautifully. The wreaths retain their shape and character, allowing us to use them again next year. Sustainable, natural and completely in line with our vision: working with the seasons and respecting what nature gives us.
December at Stadsjochies
At Stadsjochies, December is a month for getting together and enjoying life. The menu changes with the season: warming, rich in flavour and made with locally sourced ingredients. Think winter vegetables, spicy accents and dishes that call for shared moments at the table.
At Stadsjochies, we don't just celebrate Christmas at Christmas, but throughout a whole month full of little moments. Moments of light in the dark days, of warmth in the cold and of caring for each other. And that's exactly what makes winter here so special.
A message from our lads and lassies
These words come straight from our hearts. That is why we recorded them together in a Christmas video with all our employees, the lads and lassies who sow, harvest, cook, serve and connect with love every day.
This is how we conclude this year together. Grateful for everything that has been, and excited for everything that is to come. Here's to a new year full of greenery, flavour, and wonderful encounters!
A plant needs time and rest to grow, and so do our boys and girls. Therefore, Stadsjochies will be closed for a short period from Sunday 28 December 2025 to Thursday 1 January 2026.
